Project: Digital surgical technology conference
Company: Astound Group
Client: Stryker Surgical Technologies
Role: Digital Project Manager
Date: 2021
What I did
I collaborated with a cross-functional team, including UX/UI Designers, 3D Artists/Developers, and Front and Back End Website Developers, to craft unique 3D product experiences for a leading Medical Tech company. During the pandemic, our group was approached by Stryker Surgical Technologies and Operating Instruments to develop a digital symposium, enabling their clients and stakeholders to engage closely with their latest technology and offerings.
How I did it
To deliver the most premium experience, I led our group in creating a prototype for the digital symposium: a comprehensive 3D trade show featuring select products. To gather experience requirements, I conducted focused user interviews with various personas, including sales representatives and nurses, to understand the needs of both those who sell and use the surgical technology. These recorded sessions yielded actionable data and statistics, which I then used to define the basic features of our Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
I was responsible for managing nearly all team documentation storage and capacity tracking. For these tasks, I utilized several platforms including Jira, Confluence, and the project management software, Hive. I also conducted daily SCRUM meetings with various operational team heads, working quickly to unblock issues and enhance their progress. Furthermore, I managed the entire process of sharing official information with the Stryker team, leveraging MS suite software to create collaborative documents that kept everyone aligned.
Results
We created Stryker’s first ever digital Symposium which was a great success and lead to many leads for the team and surpassing $50 million in revenue targets.
